Service to Nurses
Under its allied services, PanAus, trading as Transworld Conexions, assists overseas nurses to migrate and work in Australia. If you are an overseas qualified (Diploma or Degree) and registered nurse, and possess a valid IELTS result in Academic Module with a score of minimum 6.5 in Reading and Listening, and a score of at least 7 in Writing and Speaking with an overall band score of at
least 7 or a B pass or above in all four sections in OET (Nursing Version), we
can initiate the process of your registration with Nurses Board of Victoria
(NBV), Australia. Subsequently, we will arrange for your admission to undergo a three-month
pre-registration program in one of the best Universities in Victoria,
Australia. This program is mandatory for all overseas qualified/registered nurses. However,
if you have worked continuously for a period of no less than twelve months in the US, the UK, Republic of Ireland, Canada or New
Zealand, and your work experience in one of these countries, is not older than six months, you may be exempted from undergoing the said
course. On termination of the prescribed program, we will accomplish the process of your application for registration with NBV. Please note that once registered with NBV, you are free to get your registration transferred to any other State/Territory in Australia. In fact, it is given to understand
that the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) has agreed to establish a
single national registration scheme for health professionals to facilitate
workforce mobility, and a single national accreditation scheme for health education and training to
simplify the current arrangements, by July 2008.
Apart from the above program, there are a few other courses for longer durations, conducted by several
educational institutions. Overseas qualified nurses with an IELTS score less than what is recommended
earlier, can pursue any of these courses with a view to procure their
registration. However, on completion of the course, while applying for registration with Nurses Board, one has to have IELTS/OET
score as prescribed above. It is, therefore, always advisable that overseas nurses secure the desired
result in IELTS/OET before leaving their country of residence, so that any
possible frustration as a consequence of futile attempts to secure the required
score in IELTS/OET could be averted at a later stage.
According to the statistics of NBV, there are over 83,000 nurses registered in
Victoria itself, currently. Yet, there are thousands of vacant positions of nurses in the Victorian
hospitals, and as such, finding a job may not be difficult. We have experienced that, generally, soon after procuring the requisite registration, overseas nurses get absorbed in the local hospitals. The allied services of PanAus will guide and support you in all possible ways, including applying for job, preparation for interviews, transportation to the interview venue etc, so as to
enable you to find a job immediately on your registration with NBV.
